Research says that a daily dose of Vitamin B2 when taken at 400mg daily seems to reduce the severity and frequency of headaches. The effects might be noticed after three months of continuous daily intake. The supplement is also found in green vegetables, milk, eggs, meat and enriched flour, so pregnant women and people sensitive to medications can still take riboflavin without the risk of toxicity.
However, while vitamin B2 is generally safe for most people, more studies are needed to fully understand the connection between riboflavin and headaches.
