Oxygen Therapy Helps Headache Sufferers

We all know that we need oxygen to survive. Did you know that it can also alleviate your headaches? A recent study featured in the Journal of the American Medical Association stated that oxygen therapy is effective in treating cluster headaches.

The study suggests that highly-concentrated oxygen inhaled lightly at a flow rate of 12-15 liters per minute through a mask can eradicate a cluster headache within 15 minutes. Despite its effectiveness however, oxygen is highly flammable. It can easily ignite and risk your health. Also, cloth and other substances can saturate when exposed to the oxygen therapy. Carrying an oxygen tank even in smaller versions can also prove to be difficult.
