Rosemary, or Rosmarinus officinalis, is probably one of the most widely used herbal medicine for headache relief today. This plant, which is endemic in the Mediterranean region, was a favorite traditional medicine of the ancient European people because of its many health benefits.

As a headache relief, rosemary helps by improving the blood and oxygen circulation in your system. It can also help keep the blood vessels in shape. Therefore, the frequency of headaches induced by abnormal blood pressure may also decrease when treated with rosemary.

If you wish to try the efficacy of this herbal relief, you can use it in the form of a decoction (for bath), oil (for massage), tea, or tinctures. It is advisable, however, to consult with your doctor first before using this herbal medicine to be sure that it won’t render harmful effects on your health.
