“Heal Your Headache” by David Buchholz: An Overview

Posted by on Dec. 28, 2012

When over-the-counter drugs for headaches are no longer working for you, perhaps what you need is something that goes beyond a simple change in prescription. You might have to modify your way of dealing with your headache and, moreover, your way of living.

Before you jump into the idea of getting full-blown clinical therapies, here’s an alternative that can guide your way to an effective lifestyle change.

David Buchholz’s book, Heal Your Headache, targets three simple points: your dependence on painkillers, self-discipline, and subscription to proper medication.

In Step 1, Dr. Buchholz elaborates how excessive intake of painkillers can inflict more pain on you rather than reducing it – this is popularly known as the rebound headache, which is oftentimes caused by the very drugs we take for headache relief. Step 2 is centered on a healthy diet that will help eliminate harmful substances from your system. Lastly, Step 3 provides tips on preventive medications that you can turn to should steps 1 and 2 fail to work.

The book is available in hardcover and paperback variants in bookstores nationwide.

Heal Your Head is written by Dr. David Buchholz and is published by Workman Publishing Company, Inc..
