Cayenne peppers are said to be an effective relief for headache as it contains a compound called capsaicin – a pepper ingredient that can disrupt the transmission of pain impulses in the nerves.
However, you don’t have to chew or eat raw cayenne peppers to relieve a headache. There’s actually a proper process as to how you can utilize this plant in relieving your pain.
For one, you can mix ¼ teaspoon of cayenne powder with warm water. Then soak a cotton swab with the solution until it absorbs enough liquid from the cayenne mixture. Gently rub the soaked cotton swab inside your nostrils but be careful not to overdo it as the excessive scent of chili may induce more pain than relief. You may also try drinking a cup of hot water with 10 teaspoons of cayenne pepper powder but before doing so, consult your healthcare provider to be sure whether the cayenne pepper treatment will work on your particular condition or not.
